Friday Fiction: Followers Choice

Tomorrow is Fiction Friday. As a fun challenge, I want to take suggestions from my "followers".  To participate simply click the follow button on the side of my page enter the appropriate information, then leave a comment under this post with your idea. These suggestions could be anything from the topic, character, or story line to writing style, time period, or genre.

All ideas and suggestions are welcome :) The crazier the better! This is your chance to pick what I write about.

Looking forward to this. I'll select the "winner" tomorrow by noon, and plan to have the post up by midnight.

Let the games begin!

  1. This is hard to think of a topic! How about a story from an Amish person's point of view? I always like reading books that are about Amish. Hope I'm the "winner!"

  2. A waitress in a snowstorm, and all of the people who are trapped in the diner with her. Make it an exercise in character development, complete with dialects, and thorough descriptions of the other characters. How do the characters handle the snowstorm and being trapped differently?

  5. I love the way you are involving your followers! How about a story set during WWII and the struggles faced by a woman trying to help.

  7. How about a romantic story of an older woman - say in her 50s, meeting her "dream man" in a most unsuspecting way. Set in modern times of course!(smile) Now that would take some imagination!

  8. Ok, so I love Kylie's idea because of the story development and challenge she's given me. However, my thought is to try and incorporate a little bit of each of your suggestions into my character development. We will see though as I only have about 11.5 hours to do this and two kiddos going crazy beneath my toes. Wish me luck! Check back late tonight or first think in the morning.

Thanks again for all of your participation!
