Hair Help :)

So, I decided today I need a drastic hair change! And I need it NOW!

Does that happen to you? Do you get this urge to do something, and if your going to do it, do it drastic, and do it immediately.

Instant gratification, that's what my mother called it. I think she often followed that up with impatience and selfishness too?

So, here we are days before leaving town and I want to cut my hair off. Well, technically I don't want to cut it all off, and it really isn't that long right now though it is already touching my shoulders.

So I need your help. I have found three cuts that I think I might like, but don't know how my fat cheeks and double chin will look with them....Also, keep in mind my goal is always easy and yet would look done.

Easter Morning = Pony Tail . ugh.

Hence why I need need need it cut NOW...Must end this ponytail rut I'm in...again!ha ha I can be sooo dramatic :-p But seriously, the just rolled out of bed and threw my hair up look is too easy and so boring. I need to cut the hair to motivate myself to style it....Or I need to get a perm but I got a 98%  NO on my Facebook poll a few weeks back!

First, this blog is my current new fav find! Linds has such an amazing and artsy, feminine-y, crafty blog going on that I'm addicted. I found her yesterday and have read tons of her posts already, while I haven't found anything that tells me she is a believer I also haven't found a single post or word that offended me so I feel confident in sending you her way for great fashion, beauty, sewing, crafting, cooking tips! Seriously, check it out she has some awesome stuff, including this cool bracelet which I made last night! Her adorable haircut is what ultimately pushed me over the edge.

The only reason her cut didn't make the list is because I think I had fallen in love with her color more than her cut and needed to find options in my hue instead, as I'm not coloring my hair right now.  And my husband doesn't like me all blond!

I know they are all in the same family, short and layered, but I still need your advice...Favs? Which one would work best with my face shape? With my thick (but not as thick as it once was) hair and long neck?

All opinions are welcome!!
Bring on the comments folks :)

  1. I think option 2 is the cutest :-) I would totally do that if Mathew would go for it!

  2. Option 2! (And you do NOT have a double chin...)

  3. You can be my twin on the other side of the state! These are similar to my spur of the moment cut I got a few weeks ago! I went in to get Connor's hair cut and ended up sitting in the chair myself telling them to chop it and make it sassy!

I vote for either 1 or 2. Both easy to style in the morning while getting the boys ready. Seriously takes me 5 minutes to straighten it. Love, love, love!!! Be sure to post pics! :)

  4. I like option 1 and 2, but would opt for #1 for you. I also have round cheeks and I think when bangs are down like that with short hair, we tend to look 12 years old. I don't doubt it would look good on you, but in the event it made you look too young - I wouldn't want you to feel sad about it. I like #1 more for you because it has some drama to it, but still seems easy AND you could pull the top up with bobby pins and have that cute little poof up there (I hope you know what I mean lol!) and have that angle to really make your face pop and make you feel like a sexy mama!! Plus you could do lose vertical curls to dress it up without it taking a long time or having it hang there. Yep, the more I think about it, #1 would be my choice! So excited to see what you choose :)

  5. I like option 2. Go for it. I cut mine similar to that but a little longer. You'll love it and it doesn't look like it will take a lot to style. Post pics after it's done. :)

  7. Thanks so much for all of the feedback everyone! I have to admit I was actually leaning toward 3 myself so I'm 'a lot' surprised that not a single person liked it! That's exactly why I did this. I'm leaning towards 2 since it had the highest praise, though the arguments Erika made are definitely valid! Here is to hoping I can even get in to get it cut, and I'll keep all you's posted!

  8. I say go to a good hairdresser, one that is well trained. Show her the 3 photos and ask her which will work best for you. My hairdresser has said no to cuts that won't work well with my hair type and face. I think all 3 are cute, but a professional can make sure it works for you.

  9. I know exactly what you mean about instant gratification! When I decide I'm ready for a change, it's NOW!

I think option 2 would be the easiest to deal with. The others look like they'd need a lot of upkeep

  10. 1 or 3. If your gunna change, make it drastic. Go Blonde!

  11. I like #2 best too! But any cut would be better than a perm!!!! ;)

  12. Oh, I agree, NO perm!! All of the cuts are cute and you would look good with any of them. We definitely need to be happy with our hair because it can make us out of sorts until we get. It "fixed." :0). Blessings!

  14. I'm so excited to see all of this feedback!!! My appointment is this afternoon so I check back in tonight or first thing tomorrow for a glimpse of the 'new me'!

Jason- Brian said "NO WAY, you would look HORRIBLE blond!"

  15. DON'T GO BLOND!! too much upkeep, not as lovely as the way God made you, imho. I liked 3, but everybody swayed me to 2. I agree with the advice to take all 3 pics to a PRO and ask them what would work best for you! BUT, honestly, I am not sure how the 3 pics are different, other than the bangs. Love the link! Now I wanna cut my hair (which is currently in a ponytail hidden under a bandana) ha! POST PICS!! OH BOY!

  16. Those are SO cute! I'd pic One or Two. They are all similar though. If you want bangs, obviously two is the best choice. For me, bangs are work, but my hair is very wavy/frizzy. I had my hair cut in a similar style once, only mine was a little more angular...longer pieces in the front. Maybe you can just do a few highlights? I need something done to mine, but I don't trust anyone around here to do it. I definitely would NOT get a perm. You do what you're comfortable with though. :-)
Can't wait to see the 'after' pictures!
